Terms of Service

Last updated April 28, 2026

These terms govern your use of sentientweekly.com and any related services operated by Sentient Weekly, LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“Sentient Weekly,” “we,” or “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Editorial scope

Sentient Weekly is a weekly editorial publication and a permanent reference library covering artificial intelligence. Content on the site is provided for general informational purposes. It is not investment, legal, medical, or other professional advice, and you should not act on it as if it were.

AI assistance

AI tools assist us with summarization, draft generation, and rankings tabulation. Every published piece is reviewed by a human editor before it ships. Some formats — most notably the AI Op-Ed — present model outputs as the artifact rather than rewriting them in a human voice. See our methodology page for details.

Accounts and acceptable use

You can read most of the site without an account. Some features (such as voting on op-ed responses or saving items) require signing in via a Google account or an emailed magic link. You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account.

Don’t use the site to break the law, infringe someone else’s rights, harass other readers, attempt to gain unauthorized access, scrape at a rate that interferes with normal operation, or impersonate anyone. We may suspend or terminate accounts and remove submitted content that violates these terms.

User submissions

When you send us a tip, correction, comment, vote, or other submission — through the contact form, op-ed voting, or any feature we add later — you grant Sentient Weekly a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, store, reproduce, and publish the submission as part of operating the publication, including in excerpted or paraphrased form. You represent that you have the right to make the submission and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights. Don’t submit confidential information you aren’t willing to share.

Rankings and outbound links

Model rankings, benchmark scores, and other quantitative content reflect the methodology described on the methodology page and are necessarily incomplete. They are provided as informational editorial judgments, not as warranties of fitness or recommendations to procure any product or service.

The site links to third-party sources, vendors, and reading-list retailers. Outbound links are not endorsements, and we are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites.

Intellectual property

The Sentient Weekly name, logo, wordmark, tagline (“Signal in the AI noise.”), and the editorial content we publish are owned by Sentient Weekly, LLC or licensed to us. You may share, link to, and quote our content with attribution; you may not republish full articles, scrape the site for AI training, or use our marks without written permission. Personal, non-commercial reading and feed-reader consumption via our public RSS feed is welcome.

If you believe content on the site infringes a copyright you hold, please send a notice through the contact form describing the work, the allegedly infringing URL, and your contact information.

Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. AI-related fields move quickly; published information can become outdated.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sentient Weekly, LLC and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the site or its content. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Sentient Weekly, LLC harmless from any claim, demand, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or content you submit.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the site, an account, or a feature at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful to other readers or to the publication. You may stop using the site and unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the publication evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the site will be the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
